If you are interested in joining us, please share your resume/CV, your research interests and skills, and why you are interested in joining our group. Our team includes Ph.D. and undergraduate students and post-doctoral scholars.
Ph.D Students:

We are recruiting one PhD student to start September 2025. The student will join the PhD program in Environment and Society in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Emory University. Applications are now being accepted until December 1st.
The student will be funded. The funding is tuition and stipend (money for living expenses) for 4-5 years.
The student will work with the Environment, Culture, and Community research group and work within the broad research topics that we focus on. Otherwise, the student will be expected to choose and develop their dissertation project on what they wish. This will likely include a large component of experiential learning and doing through time in the field and in community. Indigenous students and students who are seriously dedicated to allyship and community-based approaches and solutions are very strongly encouraged to apply.

We work in connection with the Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative at Emory and the prospective students work could also be connected to this group. https://native.emory.edu
Applications will be available and start to be accepted September 1st with the first cohort of students starting September 2025. We expect the first group will be 4-5 students.
